And if you're always exploring cutting-edge ideas and challenging the status quo, you could very well be a "Trailblazer." YouTube also identifies other personality types, including the "Wonder Seeker," the "Connector," and the "Dreamer," each reflecting a different facet of the YouTube community. Of course, music lovers aren't left out. While the core YouTube Recap will showcase your top artists and songs, those seeking a more in-depth musical analysis should head over to the dedicated YouTube Music app for their annual YouTube Music Recap, which launched the previous week. This provides even more granular detail about your listening habits, including favorite genres, playlists, and more.
The YouTube Recap began rolling out in North America today and will be available globally throughout the week. Finding it is easy: simply head to the YouTube homepage or the "You" tab on your mobile device or desktop. This is a feature many users have been requesting, and YouTube claims to have conducted over 50 concept tests before arriving at the final, personalized experience.
And this is the part most people miss... YouTube isn't just launching Recap in isolation. They're also releasing trend charts that reveal the top creators, podcasts, and songs that resonated with everyone on the platform this year.
Unsurprisingly, MrBeast reigns supreme as the top creator for the sixth consecutive year. "The Joe Rogan Experience" takes the crown for the top podcast, and Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga's "Die with a Smile" snagged the top song title.
The release of YouTube Recap coincides with similar year-end summaries from other music platforms, such as Apple Music's Replay and Amazon Music's 2025 Delivered. Interestingly, Spotify, known for its highly anticipated Wrapped feature, has yet to release theirs, suggesting that these other companies are eager to capture some of that social media buzz first.
